Picerne is committed to Puerto Rico for the long-term. We have been operating on the island for over 23 years. Our main office is located in the heart of Hato Rey, the business district in San Juan. Our support staff are stationed here. We also take great pride in hiring local residents of Puerto Rico to run our community operations. These are the people that best know the island and have great pride in Puerto Rico.
In 1997, Picerne took roots on the island, as Puerto Rico was in dire need of quality affordable housing. It was a priority to quickly develop and build new homes and apartments. Demand was high and there was little supply. Understanding this need, Picerne entered the market to build upon its expertise and its success in the continental United States. Over the years, Picerne has built more than 2000 units and manages another 1500 homes for third party owners.
